Refund Policy

Last updated: [date of publishing]

DRAFT - to be checked by a lawyer before publishing. It must also match Paddle's buyer terms and UK consumer law (including the 14-day right to cancel for digital content and how it ends once the customer starts using TalkTrade).

We want you to be happy with TalkTrade. There's no free trial: you pay from the start, monthly or yearly. Instead, your first purchase is covered by a money-back guarantee.

7-day money-back guarantee

  • If TalkTrade isn't right for you, ask for a refund within 7 days of your first payment and you'll get your money back in full, whether you chose the monthly or the yearly plan.
  • It applies to your first purchase only, and to one refund per person. Buying again later, with the same or another email address, isn't covered again.
  • Renewals (later monthly or yearly payments) aren't covered by the guarantee.

How to ask

Payments are handled by Paddle.com, our reseller and Merchant of Record. To ask for a refund, use the link in your receipt email, or contact paddle.net, or email us at support@talktradeapp.com and we'll arrange it with Paddle.

After 7 days

Payments after the first 7 days aren't refunded, but you can cancel at any time and keep your plan until the end of the period you've paid for. If something has gone wrong (for example you were charged twice), contact us and we'll put it right.

What happens after a refund

Your licence stops working straight away, and your subscription is cancelled. Your journal stays on your own PC, and you can still export it.

Your legal rights

This policy doesn't affect your rights under consumer law.
